Privacy Policy

G53 (“we”, “us”) operates g53online.com — a small studio site offering free browser games and showcasing our software projects. This policy explains what we collect and why, in plain terms. You can play most of our games without giving us any personal information at all.

What we collect

Information you choose to give us

• Display name — if you submit a score to a leaderboard or join an online multiplayer room, we store the name you type so we can show it. You may use any nickname; you don’t have to use your real name.
• Game results — the scores, times or moves you choose to submit to a leaderboard.

Optional sign-in (Google)

Signing in is optional and only used if you want to reserve/lock a leaderboard handle or play online. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (your name, email address and a unique account identifier) via Google Sign-In, solely to verify it’s you and to attach your locked handle. We do not post anything to your Google account and do not access your contacts, files or anything else. You can play as a guest without signing in.

Usage & device data

• Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate usage (page views, which games are opened, general ad interactions). This is statistical; we don’t use it to identify you personally.
• Anonymous counters — we count total plays, unique devices and app installs per game. These are aggregate numbers with no personal data.
• On-device storage — we use your browser’s local storage for preferences (your chosen name, sound/theme settings), the offline game cache, and to queue leaderboard/usage events while you’re offline so they can be sent when you reconnect. This stays on your device except as described here.

Online multiplayer

When you create or join an online game room, your display name is visible to the other players in that room, and your game moves are relayed through our server to them in real time. Room data is temporary and used only to run the live game.

Cookies & similar technologies

Google Analytics sets cookies to measure usage; Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless. We also use local storage as described above. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking networks.

Advertising

We show occasional house promotions — links to other projects we operate or are affiliated with. These are simple links; clicking one takes you to that project’s own website, which has its own privacy policy. We do not run third-party ad networks and we do not sell your data.

Where your data is processed

Leaderboards, room and counter data are stored on Cloudflare’s platform (D1, KV and Durable Objects); site files are served from Google Cloud Storage. Analytics are processed by Google and Cloudflare. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share data with the infrastructure and analytics providers named above so the site can function, or if required by law.

Children

Our games are family-friendly but the site is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, please don’t submit a name or sign in. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we’ll remove it.

Your choices & rights

• Play as a guest — no name, no sign-in.
• Ask us to remove a leaderboard entry or your handle — email us and we’ll delete it.
• Opt out of Google Analytics via Google’s browser add-on or your browser’s privacy settings. Cloudflare Web Analytics already excludes visitor data from the EU.
• EU/UK residents have rights of access, correction and deletion — contact us to exercise them.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above will change. Continued use means you accept the current version.
