On your turn: draw a card (deck or discard), arrange your hand, then discard one. Two sequences — one pure (no joker) — plus sets covering all 13 lets you declare.

Indian Rummy (13 cards) — how it works
Cards: two 52-card decks plus 2 printed jokers. Each player gets 13 cards; the rest form the closed deck and one card starts the open discard pile.
Wild joker: a random rank is cut each game. Every card of that rank — and both printed jokers — is wild and can stand in for any card.
Your turn: draw one card from the closed deck or the open discard, then discard one card. Your hand always returns to 13.
Goal — sequences & sets. A sequence is 3+ consecutive cards of the same suit. A pure sequence uses no joker. A set is 3–4 cards of the same rank in different suits (jokers allowed).
Declare: arrange all 13 cards into valid melds with at least two sequences, one of them pure. Hit Declare on your turn (after drawing) to win. A wrong declaration costs an 80-point penalty.
Scoring: when someone declares, every other player scores the points of their unmelded cards (face value; 10/J/Q/K/A = 10). Lowest is best.
